Dear 1651 Page Mill Road Colleagues,
In support of OFPM and the School of Medicine contractor, the Operations and Maintenance team will shut down domestic water in the building. The shutdown is part of the annual testing for domestic water backflow preventers.
DATE: October 29, 2025
TIME: 5:00 a.m. – 5:30 a.m.
IMPACT: Domestic water will not be available during this time. Sinks, toilets, showers, eyewash stations, safety showers, and dishwashing appliances will be out of service during scheduled testing.
SAFETY IMPACT: There will be no domestic water in the emergency showers or eye wash stations. During this time, laboratory personnel are not to work with chemicals that are corrosive, cause permanent tissue damage or severe irritation, are toxic by skin/eye absorption, or engage in any BSL-2 work that is not in a biosafety cabinet.
