The Operation and Maintenance team, along with vendor Commercial Air Services is scheduled to perform maintenance and repairs on the building’s conditioned air and exhaust system. This maintenance will require a shutdown of the rooftop equipment one at time to safely carry out the repairs. Unfortunately, this means that comfort air, and fume hood exhaust will be partially unavailable in certain areas of the building until repairs are completed.
DATE : May 17th, 2025
TIME : 6:30 am. to 2:00 pm.
IMPACT: Please be advised that fume hoods in labs 2220 and 2230 will be without exhaust during the scheduled repairs and may trigger alarms if equipped. We kindly ask that you refrain from conducting experiments during the shutdown and when systems are in alarm in the affected areas. Operations & Maintenance requests that fume hood and biosafety cabinet sashes be closed during this time. Our technicians will reset any alarms upon completion of the work.
Please note that comfort air in the lab spaces on the 1st, and 2nd, floors will be down during the scheduled repairs. Temperatures may vary based on outside conditions, with Saturday’s forecast showing a low of 50°F and a high of 70°F.
SAFETY IMPACT: Please be advised that during the repairs, lab spaces mentioned above will be without supply air. Please refrain from conducting bio-hazardous work if fume hoods are in alarm.
