Dear 3155 Porter Colleagues,
In support of OFPM and the School of Medicine contractor, the Operations and Maintenance team will shut down domestic water in the building. The shutdown is part of the domestic water backflow preventer repairs.
DATE: December 5th, 2025
TIME: 4:30AM – 5:30AM
IMPACT: There will be no domestic water available to all sinks, toilets, showers, eyewash stations, safety showers, and dishwashing appliances for the mentioned dates and times.
SAFETY IMPACT: No domestic water will be in the emergency showers or eye wash stations. During this time, laboratory personnel are not to work with corrosive chemicals, cause permanent tissue damage or severe irritation, are toxic by skin/eye absorption, or engage in any BSL-2 work that is not in a biosafety cabinet.
