Dear 3165 Porter Colleagues,
The Operation and Maintenance team is scheduled to perform the semi-annual preventative maintenance on the building’s conditioned air and exhaust system. The work will require us to shut down one unit at a time. Due to the short duration of the shutdown and expected cool temperatures, we do not anticipate any temperature issues. The weather forecast for Saturday shows a low of 50° F – 70° F.
DATE: Saturday, November 15th, 2025
TIME: 4:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
IMPACT: Conditioned Air Shutdown – The building temperature may be slightly cooler or warmer depending on outside air. Fume hoods may go into alarm. Our technicians will reset alarms upon completion of the work.
Safety Impact: Fume hoods will be without exhaust periodically. Please refrain from conducting experiments when the system is in alarm.
