Dear 3174 Porter & 3172 Porter Colleagues,
In support of OFPM, the Operations & Maintenance team will perform a shutdown of the domestic water system in the building. The shutdown is needed to test the system for proper operation.
Date: Tuesday, July 15th, 2025
Time: 5:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m.
Impact: There will be no hot or cold water available during this time. Sinks, toilets, showers, eyewash stations, safety showers, and dishwashing appliances will be out of service during this time.
Safety Impact: There will be no domestic water to the emergency showers or eyewash stations. During this time, laboratory personnel are not to work with chemicals that are corrosive, cause permanent tissue damage or severe irritation, are toxic by skin/eye absorption, or engage in any BSL-2 work that is not in a biosafety cabinet.
