Dear Colleagues,
The Operations and Maintenance Department will shut down the building’s domestic hot water and the water supply to all emergency shower/eyewash stations. This shutdown is in support of a School of Medicine vendor and the repair of the domestic hot water system.
Date: August 15th, 2026
Time: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
Impact: All sinks, including lab sinks, will not have hot water available during the mentioned dates and times. All emergency shower/eyewash stations in the building will be out of service during the repair.
Safety Impact: There will be no domestic water to the emergency showers/eye wash stations. During this time, laboratory personnel are not to work with corrosive chemicals, cause permanent tissue damage or severe irritation, or be toxic by skin/eye absorption, or engage in any BSL-2 work that is not in a biosafety cabinet.
