New Shared Resource Lab spaces at Stanford Research Park (SRP)

Jan 9, 2026 | Announcements

Dear Stanford Research Park PI PIs:

With the new Shared Resource Lab spaces at Stanford Research Park (SRP) opening up in 2026, the shared facility leaders are looking for feedback from SRP researchers on what services and instrumentation you want in our shared spaces.

There is an upcoming internal grant via c-ShaRP in early 2026 and it is critical that both microscopy and FACS get both input and support from PIs for these applications.

This can include instrumentation requests, as well as staff to support users while the facilities become self-sustaining.  PI participation in grant applications is very much appreciated and really underscores the value of the requested instrumentation to the community.

We are asking you what you want in our shared FACS and Microscopy spacesPlease provide a short one sentence summary (for example):

1.     FACS testing of vaccine response that require 20-25 parameter immunophenotyping panels.

2.     Multi-photon microscope for imaging deeply in mouse and human tissue.

Thanks. For our facilities at SRP to succeed, we will need everyone’s support and participation. Please send your responses to lisanichols@stanford.edu, Gordon X. Wang (drwonder@stanford.edu), and mnicolls@stanford.edu. If you feel that it would be of benefit for other SRP PIs to see your response, please reply-to-all. For example, if you believe there may be need for a particular FACS/Microscopy capability at SRP, it may be useful for other PIs to see your response so they can build on your request.

Thanks and Happy Holidays!
