Please be advised that Stanford University IT (UIT) will be performing a scheduled indoor cellular system upgrade at the School of Medicine facilities listed below.
During this work, the indoor cellular signal at each building may be temporarily unavailable for approximately two hours while the system is being upgraded.
Tuesday, September 29, 2026 – 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

- 3180 Porter Drive
If all scheduled work cannot be completed on September 29, the remaining work may continue on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
Wednesday, September 30, 2026 – 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

- 3165 Porter Drive
- 3174 Porter Drive
If all scheduled work cannot be completed on September 30, the remaining work may continue on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
Important – Wi-Fi Calling
While the indoor cellular system is unavailable, building occupants are asked to connect their mobile devices to the Stanford Wi-Fi network and enable Wi-Fi Calling to maintain calling and messaging capabilities during the upgrade.
Please be aware that cellular service may be intermittent throughout the scheduled work window at the affected building.
