During today’s weekly electrical repair meeting, our contractor provided the list of activities scheduled for this week and in the coming weeks:
Week of 4/20/26 – 4/24/26
Transformer Pad and Transition Cabinet Crane Pick, Friday April 24th , 7:30am – 10:30am
IMPACT: Top section of the parking lot at 1050B building will be closed for employee parking.
SAFETY IMPACT: Caution tape will be installed on building exit doors leading to this parking lot while crane-related activities are in progress.
Week of 4/27/26 – 5/1/26
CoPA Utility Transformer Installation, Tuesday, April 28th , 8:00am – 12:00pm
Transfer building Normal Power from Temporary Generator via Temporary Power Distribution cables to CoPA Utility Power, Friday May 1st, 6am – 4pm.
IMPACT: All normal power will be off during this time. Emergency power will remain available.
SAFETY IMPACT: There will be reduced lighting and ventilation. Fume hoods may be inoperable.
Week of 5/4/26 – 5/8/26
Disconnect Temporary Mobile Generator and remove from the site.
Permanent Power Distribution Bus Duct System scheduled to arrive, Friday May 8th .
Week of 5/11/26 – 5/15/26
Installation of Permanent Power Distribution Bus Duct System.
Week of 5/18/26 – 5/22/26
Transfer Building Normal Power to CoPA Utility Transformer from Temporary Power cables to Permanent Power via newly installed Bus Duct System, Tuesday May 19th , 6am – 4pm.
IMPACT: All normal power will be off during this time. Emergency power will remain available.
SAFETY IMPACT: There will be reduced lighting and ventilation. Fume hoods may be inoperable.
Building Notification will go out to remind building occupants of NORMAL POWER OUTAGE during SCHEDULED power transfer from one power source/distribution system to another.
